Dr Inostroza belongs to the Society of urban ecology and he is a chartered member of the Royal institute of British architects and member of the European land institute. Dr. Inostroza focus his research interest on spatial evolution of urban systems, their physical, economic and ecological effects on land use land cover changes, land markets and urban policy, with special attention to dynamics of urban systems in Latin America and Europe.

Since November 2005, Dr Rolf Baur is the managing director of the Centre for international postgraduate studies of environmental management, TU Dresden. He studied at TU Berlin, IIT Madras and obtained his first degree in civil engineering (Urban engineering) from Wuppertal University. After his Phd at TU Dresden, he has been working as a researcher at INSA Lyon (France), and again at TU Dresden in the position of a senior researcher, and a freelance engineer (Baur & Kropp) consulting urban utilities in their asset management. His research focused on the rehabilitation of ageing infrastructure and the asset management of technical infrastructure networks, with working and teaching experience in Europe, North America, Africa and China.

Professional experience: Transdisciplinary Projects, e.g. in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Mali, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and in different regions of Europe.
